A Large Package Surcharge of $50 will be applied to all UPS Ground packages when the size of the package exceeds 156 in. in length and girth combined. Other shipping charges may apply and your final shipping charge may differ based on packages actually tendered to UPS. Orders that require additional handling will be subject to extra UPS shipping fees which will be added once your order is placed.

Figured hardwoods vary from common burls and curly woods to the more rare birdseye, quilted and spalted varieties with some marble, tiger, flame, cluster burl, angel step, live edged slabs, vertical grain and quarter sawn material also. We carry the finest in figured maples, that includes spalted, burl, curly, and quilted figures. Figured walnut, also known as Claro walnut, California or Oregon Walnut. Oregon does not have a native walnut but the Juglans Hindsii grows here and is cross bred and graphed to many trees in our area, sometimes growing to full trees. Some being of the eastern species, Juglans Nigra and often times the graphed trees are to English Walnut. Claro walnut is a term that originated with gunstocks, referring to the native species root stock below the graph to English walnut. Walnut figures in burl, burl cluster, crotch, curly and the western walnut and English walnut are known for their high contrasting marbled figure. Myrtlewood is another native species we carry. Myrtle is prized for its luminous figure and warm sheen. Myrtlewood figures include curly, marbled, burl and burl cluster. Myrtlewood does spalt but it is referred to as tiger or feathering and it does not loose its integrity and solidity as maple does. Port Orford old growth white cedar is another we carry. POWC is prized for its regular cedar qualities as well as being the hardest cedar. All of the woods we carry are known to be prized tonewoods as well as beautiful. We also have a small selection of Eastern curly cherry along with some madrone burl.
